One of the best weddings I’ve photographed was definitely this one. Jewish wedding in Toronto. Despite all the bad luck this bride had with wedding dress… here is the story. Meet Lana & Ilya. I haven’t had the opportunity to meet this wedding couple before their wedding as they live on the west coast. When I met Lana, I couldn’t miss her hair. I love the big curly hair… love it. Our day started with getting ready shots for their Jewish wedding in Toronto.
Everything went smooth, everyone had great relaxed mood. Lana was putting on her wedding dress when all the drama started. One of the worst things happened. Her zipper broke down.
What happened next? To my big surprise, Lana kept smiling for the next hour as the team started sewing her in. Her Dad then glued in some sparkly parts to make it look complete. The end result? Amazing. You could never tell anything like this happened. This family had it all. They all kept smiling. They showed how patient and skilled they are. Our schedule was really thrown apart as we lost an hour but we got everything done at the end. This broken wedding dress didn’t stop anyone.
Lana impressed me here one more time. I asked her to sit down and pretend to play. My eyes widened when I heard her actually playing. It was a concert quality. Another favorite part of the evening was traditional Jewish dancing. Those guys were very entertaining. They have lots of energy indeed.
